What if I want to volunteer but I'm not sure where?
You can register for Created Connect on our Get Involved page. We would love to meet you and help get you plugged in. Created Connect is the best place to learn about the Created Gainesville ministry, meet our staff, hear all the opportunities to get involved, and ask any questions may have.
What are the opportunities to volunteer?
You can fill out the application to become a part of the Outreach Teams by visiting Volunteer Application page. You can sign up to sponsor an outreach by visiting the Sponsor an Outreach page. You can sign up to do a one day service project and see current needs by visiting the One Day Service Project page. For more details, check out our Volunteer Handbook.
How can I become a part of the Outreach Team?
Follow the application process for Application 1 and you will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response. Visit the Volunteer Application page for more information.
What are the times of your Outreaches?
Street Outreach - Two Friday evenings of the month, 10:30 pm - 1:00 am
Club Outreach - Once per month 6:45 pm-8:30 pm.
Oasis - Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Celebrate Recovery - Sunday afternoons, 3pm-4 pm
Jail Outreach - Friday mornings
What is the time commitment for being on the Outreach Team?
We ask that you would be able to commit to volunteering with Created Gainesville for at least 6-12 months. We ask for consistency in the outreach you attend as well as attending our mandatory trainings. The focus of our outreaches is building trust and friendships with the women we meet, that is why this consistency is so important.
What do I do if want to change where I'm volunteering with Created Gainesville?
If your schedule changes and you would like to change how you are currently volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Are there opportunities for men to get involved with Created Gainesville?
Absolutely! We have a need for male volunteers on our Street Outreach team. On each Street Outreach, we go with 2-3 female and 2 male volunteers. The men drive the car, pray continually, and keep watch as the female volunteers approach women on the street to give them a cosmetic bag and offer prayer. We also need men as sponsors.
